Frequently Asked Questions

Exercise therapy is a structured and personalized approach to physical activity designed to improve health, aid in rehabilitation, and manage various conditions. It involves using specific exercise, movement, and breathing techniques to target areas of the body that need attention, whether injury, chronic pain, or posture, other physical limitations.

Although exercise therapy and physical therapy are closely related, they have some key differences in their focus and scope.

Physical therapy is a healthcare profession that focuses on diagnosing, treating, and preventing physical injuries and conditions. It encompasses a range of treatments like manual therapy, ultrasound, and electrotherapy with exercises. Physical therapists have a broad scope and can prescribe treatments and use specialized equipment.

Exercise therapy, on the other hand, is centered around using specific exercises and movement techniques to improve physical health, mobility, and overall well-being. It’s less focused on medical treatment and more on using movement as a tool for rehabilitation, pain management, and health improvement.

Both therapies complement each other and can play an essential role in rehabilitation and health.

We work with a diverse range of clients, each with unique health needs and goals. Our approach is tailored to individual adults, whether they’re managing chronic diseases, recovering from a health condition, or seeking to improve their overall well-being.

We’ve worked with clients recovering from strokes, have had cancer, multiple sclerosis (MS), arthritis, mobility issues, and various other conditions. Our programs are designed to address the specific challenges associated with these conditions, offering personalized exercises to improve mobility, strength, and quality of life.

Our services cover a range of topics, including mobility and flexibility improvement, post-rehab recovery, mind-body integration techniques, stress management, and chronic pain management. We work with you to create a plan that aligns with your personal health journey and budget whether through individual “pay-as-you-go” sessions or goal-based packages.

Our approach to mind-body integration is grounded in research-based techniques that draw from neuroscience and psychology. We believe that a strong connection between the mind and body is essential for overall health and well-being and our programs are designed to foster that connection in practical and effective ways.

To achieve this, we incorporate a variety of methods, including breathwork, yoga, and mindfulness techniques. These practices calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and enhance focus, creating a sense of balance and harmony within the body. By integrating these techniques, we aim to provide a holistic experience that not only improves physical health but also nurtures mental clarity and emotional well-being. This comprehensive approach helps clients achieve a deeper sense of relaxation, increased energy, and improved resilience in everyday life.

The duration and frequency of sessions at our practice are designed to accommodate your unique goals and schedule. We offer two types of sessions: 30-minute and 60-minute, allowing you to choose the format that best suits your needs.

The frequency of sessions can vary depending on your individual goals and time availability. Some clients benefit from twice-a-week for more intensive focus, while others prefer a weekly session to maintain progress over time. In some cases, sessions can be more spaced out, especially for maintenance or follow-up purposes. We’ll work with you to determine the optimal frequency and duration based on your specific health objectives and lifestyle. Our flexible approach ensures you receive the right amount of support to achieve your goals.

At this time, we do not accept insurance for our services. This is primarily because our practice may not be covered under many insurance plans. Additionally, managing claims can be complex, often leading to delays and additional costs for clients.

By not accepting insurance, we’re able to offer flexibility in our services and keep costs straightforward. This approach is often easier and, in some cases, more affordable for clients. We believe this allows to focus on providing the best possible care without complications that can come with insurance-related issues. If you have any questions about payment options or pricing, we’re happy to discuss them with you and find the best solution for your needs.
